Here is my cheapest filter with very little maintenance required. Compared to carbon, bio bags etc ...

This filter only has sponge sponge yes but a good quality sponge I have large sheet of sponge lying in my garage, I never thought that this useless material clean my aquarium like this compared to my filter are made of bio, carbon etc ... I have to change these bags in month 1-2 they don't last long

When I compare that one with my sponge filter I just need to wash my sponge and yup are they ready to use you just need to change sponge after 5 month if they are really in this bad condition so this filter is pocket friendly cleaned: D

Now let me tell you how this system works and how long do betta fish live

Step 1: pump

Here is my filter pump you have you definitely have an aquarium but if not you can buy it from any local aquarium store or Amazon depending on your aquarium so what has mine take water and pump it through blue pipe, pipe my aquarium canopy with my filter attached goes, known as on the top filter

Step 2: process of filtration

Sorry but this part is dirty anyway lets go through on this step quickly

In my first pic the blue pipe is connected, attachment, bend pipe so that water can pass quickly, while on my 2.3 pic you can see sponge as filter material and this white pipe with holes to make water out of these holes

Step 3: complete filtering

Now the water comes out of my filter basin

Step 4: crystal clear water

Now its crystal clear water fish are happy: D
